Something magical is coming to Cheyenne, or should I say someone? The all-powerful Wizard of Oz is visiting Cheyenne - and you know what that means - Dorothy Gale will soon be in the Magic City of the Plains with her ruby slippers (and her little dog, too!)

'Dorothy in Wonderland' Comes to Cheyenne

Starting on March 1, the curtains will rise at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse (Little Theatre) to welcome Dorothy and her gallant group of friends to the stage. The whole gang will be in attendance, including Lion, the Tinman, and the Scarecrow. But this isn't the story we all know and love. On this adventure, Dorothy is just about to head home from Oz, thanks to help from the Wizard, before destiny (a.k.a. another twister) pulls her out of the technicolored land of Oz. And where does this tornado drop, Ms. Gale? Why, Wonderland, of course!

Considering the eccentric and colorful nature of both worlds, it's not too hard to imagine these two unique worlds sharing borders, I suppose. Dorothy conquered the challenges of Oz with her trio of trustworthy friends, and now the group must sally-forth into the bizarre world of Alice and the Red Queen.

During the play, you'll see Alice and Dorothy team up to destroy Wonderland's evil queen in the croquet match of the millennium. Along the way, the Oz group will run into your Wonderland favorites like Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the White Rabbit.

Can Dorothy and Alice save Wonderland? Will they both finally make it back home? Find out at the Little Theatre's production of 'Dorothy in Wonderland.'
