What do pony rides, Oktoberfest, and trains have in common? They are all going to be in Downtown Cheyenne on September 23! The Downtown Development Authority and Visit Cheyenne have gotten together to throw the biggest shindig of the Fall in Cheyenne... and everyone's invited.

The 2023 Cheyenne Community Appreciation Day features all the fun of Oktoberfest, plus activities, games, and fun for the under-21 crowd. Check it out:

Cheyenne Community Appreciation Day - 2023 Edition

Last year's Community Appreciation Day drew crowds from all age groups to Downtown Cheyenne. Kids enjoyed the bouncy houses and games, while adults took advantage of Open Container rules and sipped on Oktoberfest libations. This year's event features much of the same activities.

Oktoberfest festivities will take over the Cheyenne Depot Plaza as Prost Brewing and Sierra Nevada put on a festival that would make Munich proud. Meanwhile, 15th Street will transform into a carnival of excitement for families. Among the activities available are bouncy houses, pony rides, mini-train rides, yard games, and local military and law enforcement demonstrations.

Is the Community Appreciation Day Free?

Yes and no. Much of the Community Appreciation Day's events and activities are free. However, a few exceptions exist, including Oktoberfest beverages and commemorative steins, pony rides, and vendor items.

How Much Will Oktoberfest and CAD Events Cost?

The cost of Oktoberfest and other activities at the Appreciation party will vary. In previous years, a commemorative stein and two drink tickets from the Depot's Oktoberfest event cost around $20. This year, the pony rides cost $5 a ride for kids. Other activities, food truck items, and vendor items will vary based on the vendor.
