End Of Story For Thieving Wyoming Student Who Claimed Term Paper On Kleptomania Was Cause.
Not the brightest student in the college classroom, a 24-year-old woman who got caught stealing from the Walmart in Gillette, Wyoming, tried to claim she was doing research for a term paper on kleptomania.
Police not only didn’t buy her story, they also found about $1,900 worth of stolen goods in her dorm room.
Now here’s the update on the story I originally told you about back on June 23rd, of 2017. According to the January 19 Gillette News Record, Lydia Marie Cormaney pleaded guilty to 2 counts each of felony shoplifting and misdemeanor shoplifting.
As part of a plea agreement, she gets one count reduced, another dismissed. The court is suspending her 3 to 6-year sentence and her 6-month sentence. She also gets six months’ probation and has to pay restitution.
We all do stupid things, including making up ridiculous lame excuses. I hope this student has learned her lesson and that her life of crime is over.
