Enjoy Any National Park In The U.S. For Free Sept 30 [VIDEO]
The National Parks Service makes every park in the U.S. free on Sept. 30, 2017. Some are free year round, of course, but all will celebrate the National Park Service's second century. It turned 100 in 2016 and this year offers more.
This is the last chance for no admission until Veterans Day Weekend Nov. 11 and 12. No fees include entrance fees, commercial tour fees and transportation entrance fee. Any other costs on your trip still apply, like getting a campground.
One travel website seems delighted to note that our National Parks are already crazy cheap. As a resident of Wyoming, did you know that right in your own back yard the per person fees are $15 for Yellowstone? It's $20 for both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. Military passes and Access passes (for people with permanent disabilities) are also already free.
And look at what's number one on thrillist.com's 20 best National Parks. (Here's a hint: Old Faithful.)
