Father Fined for Making Son Walk Home from School

A Hawaiian man has to take parenting classes and has been fined $200 for making his son walk a mile home from school, as punishment for the kid’s refusal to talk about his misbehaving in class.  A judge also ordered one year of probation for dear old dad.

Crossing fields, busy roads, railroad tracks and neighborhoods, I walked a little more than a mile in my youth and was fine with it, and I had many adventures along the way too.

This seems to me to be just more of the pussification of our youth. Your thoughts?
