Former Green River City councilman Allan Wilson has been sentenced to five years of supervised probation after pleading guilty to second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, according to Sweetwater Now.

Wilson also headed the Green River Parks and Recreation Department at one time. Wilson's sentence was handed down Thursday by Third District  Court Judge Nena James.

Wilson was originally charged with four counts of sexual abuse of a minor in January of 2018 and pleaded not guilty in June of 2018. But he later entered a plea agreement with prosecutors, pleading guilty tot he single count and having three other counts dropped.

Under the terms of his probation, Wilson will not have contact with anyone under the age of 18 except his grandchildren without his probation officer's approval, according to Sweetwater Now.

If he successfully completes his probation his guilty plea in the case will not be entered. But if he fails to complete it he could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison, a $10,000 fine or both under Wyoming law.
