Fort Collins Police are looking for a suspect in a recent stabbing incident, according to a news release from the Fort Collins Police Department.

According to the release, police were called out on Friday night around 10:30 pm on several calls about a disturbance in the 2400 block of South College Ave. While on the way they heard that one of the people involved in the disturbance was armed with a knife.

When police got there, they learned that a 25-year-old man had been stabbed. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. But the man who had stabbed him had fled the scene.

Investigators learned that both the victim and the suspect had been hanging out when somebody said something that led to a confrontation between two groups of people who didn't know each other, which eventually led to the stabbing.

Police don't have a name for the suspect, but he is described as a short, heavy-set Hispanic man, possibly with arm tattoos. He was ina vehicle described as being a dark, four-door Kia.
