Just imagine for a moment...you're relaxing in your home minding your own business and all of a sudden, you hear a noise, and then another and another. Come to find out, there is someone on your roof, hanging out, on meth. That's exactly what happened to a resident in Greeley.

According to the Greeley Tribune, Orlando Patterson,  a 43-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and found grunting loudly on the roof of a residence on 9th street in Greeley. When arrested, the man admitted to police that he was high on meth.

Officers and Patterson negotiated for almost an hour before he agreed to leave the roof. Officers used a ladder to retrieve him. Halfway down the ladder, Patterson pushed himself off and was caught by firefighters.

I can only imagine what's going through one's mind when you're doing your job and all of a sudden a grown man comes flying down your way and you have to catch him. Probably not a whole lot, because it's happening so fast. It's just reaction, but still...

We want to give a huge shoutout and thanks to all of our first responders for all they do.

No injuries were reported during the fall. Patterson was taken to a local hospital to be treated for jail clearance.

Patterson had sexual assault and failure to comply felony warrants and now he can add trespassing to his naughty list.

Patterson has an appearance on arrest warrant at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Weld District Court.
