Have you had cotton candy over the last week at Cheyenne Frontier Days? If we were still kids, would it be bad for us? So what is really in cotton candy?

Maybe some don’t want to know, but if you guess it's just a lot of sugar, here we go with the recommended ingredients.

5 cups granulated sugar
Scant 1 1/3 cups light corn syrup
1 cup plus 2 T. water
Flavored oil
Food color paste
Vegetable baking spray

There is, however, a manufacturer with their own nutritional label:

cotton candy, flossie foods
cotton candy, flossie foods

Well, look at that. Is that really zero grams of fat? No kidding? No bull, according to Flossie’s Foods. That's a special brand, though, so no promises about no fat on the midway.
