It’s time for the kids head back to the classrooms .  However some might not have the school supplies they need, but YOU can help with Operation Back to School.

Operation Back to School is a program designed to collect school supplies for grades K through 12th, who may not be able to afford the items they need to go back to school.  Many items are still needed for students attending school in the Laramie County School District 1, and you can still help by giving supplies to these kids in need.

Several drop off locations have been set up around Cheyenne including element church, Needs, Inc., various loactions at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Laramie County Library, and at the Laramie County School District 1 administration building.  You can also make monetary donations by making a check payable to Needs Inc., attention Operation Back to School. (OPTS) and drop it off at Needs, Inc., or mail the check to them at 900 Central Ave, Cheyenne, Wyo.  82001.

Distribution of these school supplies for Laramie County School District 1 students grades kindergarten through 12th, as well as college students will take place during the “Back 2 School Bash, “ Saturday, August 16th in Lions Park by the Amphitheatre, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.   The supplies are given on a FIRST come, first serve basis, so it’s a MUST that you get there early.

Items still needed include rulers, pencil bags erasers, glue sticks index cards, crayons, Kleenex, highlighters, ballpoint pens and more.  For more details go to Operation Back to School.
