Josh Allen Exchanged Words With Teammate Who “Hates” New York
The Buffalo Bills faced off against the New York Jets for Monday night football, and although the Buffalo Bills were able to secure a close win over the Jets, there were a lot of moving parts to the game.
From Aaron Rodgers managing to complete an over 50 yd Hail Mary pass to unsportsmanlike conduct, it’s a game that was good – and bad – in a lot of ways.
One ugly part of the game occurred when tensions got high between Buffalo Bills player Dion Dawkins and the entire Jets line up. Between the third and fourth quarters, when the lights went out, the defensive line up for the Jets and the offensive line up for the Bills got into a brawl.
While it seemed to be that Jets defensive lineman Quinnen Williams was leading the aggression, Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins did not shy away from the confrontation.
It makes sense – especially when you remember what Dawkins said about the New York Jets during the offseason.
Dawkins appeared on VladTV back in February, and he stated that he “hates” the Jets. You can listen below.
Not to mention that Dawkins got into a scuffle at the end of the Jets-Bills game last year, too.
Buffalo Bills QB and team captain, Josh Allen, was fed up with the unsportsmanlike conduct during Monday night football, and according to a report from Josh Reed, Sports Director at WIVB Channel 4, he exchanged some words with Dawkins after the incident.
Reed shared this tweet:
“Josh Allen followed Dion to the bench and had some words for him.”
The incident was not on camera, so Reed’s post was breaking information and there’s a lot we still don’t know. However, you have to agree that having a captain like Josh Allen who cares about the overall team performance is a dream.
Hopefully Josh can continue being the leader that this Bills team needs to get to the Super Bowl.
