The latest is Gabriel Ikechukwu, who will ink with the program Wednesday, on the NCAA's traditional signing day, according to a source familiar with the situation.

The 6-foot-3, 270-pound tackle capped his senior season at Cypress Ranch High School with 33 tackles, including 6.5 for loss, according to MaxPreps.com. He also tacked on 2.5 sacks.

The Houston-Area product also received offers from Texas Wesleyan, Hardin-Simmons, Millsaps College and Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Ikechukwu will join fellow rookie Henry Rehberg (Omaha, Neb.) in the interior. The Cowboys also signed 305-pound Bucknell transfer Aneesh Vyas at the nose-guard spot. Those three will join Ben Florentine, Jayden Williams, Dante Drake, Cody Crawford and Nathan Murphy. Caleb Robinson and Lucas Samsula, who both missed the 2024 season with injury, will also return.

That room lost Jordan Bertagnole to graduation and Jaden Williams (Kentucky) to the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Wyoming is expected to add three new scholarship players on traditional signing day, along with walk-on long snapper Charlie Houston from Garland, Texas. The staff will also look to ink "3 to 4" new players when the spring portal window opens April 16.

Spring practices are set to begin March 25 in Laramie.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
