BOISE, Idaho -- There will be no fancy cigars on the patio by the fire tonight.

The steak dinner is likely canceled, too.

Craig Bohl joked that he will have a "Pendleton Whisky" after his Cowboys laid an egg in a 32-7 rout at the hands of Boise State Saturday afternoon inside Albertsons Stadium.

He should probably buy a gallon.

Wyoming's head coach should also save it for when he watches the game film.

It was uninspiring, embarrassing and downright hideous. All of it. The visitors racked up a grand total of 112 yards in this one, just 27 on the ground. The defense allowed 443 of those. Wide receiver Eric McAlister, no matter which one of Boise State's quarterbacks was throwing him the ball, hauled in seven passes for 160 yards and a touchdown.

Fans from around the country sounded off during this debacle, a loss that all but cost the Cowboys any shot at a Mountain West title this fall. This program is now 0-9 all-time against the Broncos in this building, 1-17 overall.

Rants on top of rants on top of rants should be the title of this one.

It was well earned.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
