ST. PAUL, Minn., — The University of Wyoming Cross Country Teams ran the 37th Annual Roy Griak Invitational on Friday morning at the Les Bolstad Golf Course on the campus if the University of Minnesota. In the second race of the season and first for the Cowboys running an 8K and the Cowgirls running a 6K the Wyoming men notched a seventh place team finish while the women wrapped up in eighth.

COWBOYS 

Mason Norman And Ryker Holtzen led the way for the Pokes, running 24:40.2 and 20:40.3 respectively to finish in 17th and 18th in a good field. The Cowboys finished 49 points in front of conference foe Colorado State and 78 points in front of host school Minnesota. No. 29 California Baptist, No. 32 Gonzaga, New Mexico, No. 9 Portland, Boise State and Santa Clara finished ahead of the Cowboys in that order.

COWGIRLS 

Abigail Whitman led the way for the Cowgirls running a 21:48.7 in the 6K race. Whitman led the Cowgirls to an eighth place finish with 258 total points. No. 24 Cal Baptist, No. 22 Utah, No. 26 Colorado State, Portland, No. 35 Boise State, No. 21 New Mexico and Minnesota finished one through seven ahead of the Pokes in that order.
