Both UW Squads, Six Individuals Named Scholar All-Americans

LARAMIE -- Those swimmers are typically smart cookies.

That didn't change with this latest crop in Laramie, either.

The men's and women's swimming and diving squads -- like, the entire team -- were named Scholar All-America, announced by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America. Four individuals -- sophomore Macey Hansen, junior Tara Joyce, junior Simon Casey and freshman Jackson Kogler -- also earned First-Team All-American honors. Senior Natalie Six and junior Bruno Grau landed on the Second Team.

Scholar All-America Team honors, presented by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps, are awarded to the teams with a grade point average of 3.00 or higher for the Spring 2026 season. For individuals, First-Team honorees must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championships.

For Second-Team honors, those with a 3.5 GPA or higher and an NIC "A" time standard are awarded.

The Wyoming Cowgirl team finished the Spring semester with a GPA of 3.74 while the Cowboys finished with a 3.54 GPA. Both teams also earned the honor in the Fall 2025 semester.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert Gagliardi, Jared Newland, Ryan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
