How To Begin Your Next Awesome Wyoming Fishing Trip
In 1814, Francis Scott Key wrote a poem that would change how Americans honor the United States. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson (my favorite presidential name) ordered that "The Star-Spangled Banner" be played at every military or appropriate occasion. In March of 1931, President Herbert Hoover signed the bill that adopted "The Star-Spangled Banner" as our nation's national anthem.
The national anthem is played or sung before any major sporting event and has been since the NFL started the tradition at the end of World War II.
The Super Bowl.
World Series.
Daytona 500.
I think it's a good idea to start every fishing trip with the national anthem.
I'm not saying I should sing America's most essential and impactful song, but it should at least be played. Shoot, you never know; it may spark the best fishing trip you've ever participated in.
Since Wyoming is a great place to fish, we love our country and are not afraid to show it. This trend could be the start of something extraordinary.
