Ian Munsick Honors Ozzy Osbourne At Sturgis Rally Performance
When you head to Sturgis, SD, for the rally, music is one of the big draws for the 10 days. Most of the genres are represented on one of the many stages around town.
On Sunday, August 3, Wyoming's own Ian Munsick was on the stage at the Iron Horse Saloon, and he brought the Wyoming thunder with him.
If you've followed along with the Munsick family through the years, you know that they are fantastic musicians. It all starts from the top with Dave Munsick, who began sharing music with his boys when they were young, and boy, did it stick with them.
It wasn't long ago that Ian was named headliner of the opening night of Cheyenne Frontier Days. On July 18, he became the first native Wyomingite ever to headline the big stage at CFD.
That wasn't just a big moment for Ian, because the memory was going to be shared with the family, and it was. The night's show was capped off by a performance of the Munsick Boys (minus Tris). Dave and Sam joined Ian on stage to sing.
When a Wyoming family walks out to a Wyoming crowd, it's like The Rock walking out to a sold-out arena full of WWE fans...ELECTRIC.
The Munsick family is a talented bunch of Wyomingites, and Sunday night, Ian let that talent show with a tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne. Holy Smokes! If you weren't there, thank goodness, Brady Mclean was, and he captured the magic.
I can only imagine what it's like when they're all together on the ranch near Sheridan: no lights, no smoke, no jam-packed crowds, just the Munsick Boys and their instruments.
That's a show I'd pay to see, for sure.
