Baltimore Man’s Field Goal Quest Stops At University Of Wyoming
Football season has finally kicked off, and the Pokes are having a good season so far. It's nice to see them back in action. If you haven't been to War Memorial Stadium in a couple of years, there have been a few changes.
A major renovation has been going on and is scheduled to continue and be completed in the summer of 2026. New LED lighting, premium loge seating, a premium indoor club, permanent chairback seating, a renovated media and broadcast center, and several additional upgrades are in the works.
It's exciting if you're a Pokes fan and love seeing the Cowboys take the field.
Recently, a video surfaced of a Baltimore, MD, man who has been traveling across the country, breaking into college and pro football stadiums to see if he can kick field goals, and his video was filmed in Laramie.
Josh Pokrywka has been on a mission since 2021 to kick a field goal in every Division 1 FCS college football stadium, over 260 in the country, and War Memorial Stadium was next on his list.
As he's making his way from the parking lot and around the stadium, trying to find a gate or an opening of some sort, he explains that the Wyoming shirt he's wearing is one that he's had for quite a while. He also mentions how much he's always loved the state of Wyoming, the University of Wyoming, and all of its sports programs for years.
As mentioned, the stadium is going through renovation, and there are construction zones and workers on site. His mission may not be as easy as he expected.
After walking around and checking for a way in, he found it on the northeast side of the stadium. He begins describing the layout, and that band practice is about to begin, and he needs to hurry.
He gives a great history of the field, stadium, team, and state, mentioning that this is a field he's wanted to see since he was a kid.
I know, you're wondering if his trespassing was a success, and he got some kicks in, yep.
