The talent who calls Wyoming home is incredible. Artists thrive here in the Cowboy State in all different avenues, and music is one of those.

Bobby Chitwood has been living in Wyoming for nearly twenty-five years, and today's a special day for him. His new album, called "That's Just Me," is out and available for download, streaming, and purchase.

Bobby says that Wyoming is part of the inspiration behind a few of the songs on the album. He's been in Wyoming for so long that it just makes its way into different songs. He was raised in Texas and says the comparison between the two states is similar, so it's easy to use them both as inspiration.

You're probably wondering how he made the move to Wyoming, right? Simply, it was a woman. See, Bobby was born and raised on a ranch in Brownwood, Texas, listening to classic country music like George Jones, George Strait, and Merle Haggard.

He got bitten by the music bug early and began writing, singing, and playing guitar. After high school, he went to college and played in a band. Then, when he graduated, he decided to take his music and band on the road.

He and his band were touring around in the early 2000s and ended up in Wyoming. The band stopped in Cody to play a show and (in his words) make some gas money when he met his wife.

After they met, within the next couple of years, Bobby made the move to Wyoming and just recently purchased a farm near Worland. You'd think that being a Nashville country artist would be tough living in Wyoming, but technology has made it much easier to write and collaborate on songs.

The brand new album has been in the making for a couple of years, but the ten songs he selected are the perfect ten for this album. You can feel the Wyoming touch in the music, and it's exactly what you're looking for in new music.

You can follow Bobby on Facebook, Instagram, and check out videos on YouTube.

Fans are in-store for one of the strongest albums to be released in 2025, full of southern rock sounds paired with "redneck cheer" beer songs, fiddle and steel guitar honky tonk and sweet, sentimental ballads, as well as an impactful recitation.....all with deep meaning and lasting messages.
