Wyoming’s In The Top 10 For States That Love Halloween
Halloween may just be one night, but here in Wyoming, we take planning for that one night seriously.
A new study of when states start shopping for Halloween is out, and Wyoming is only toward the bottom in one of the three categories.
The Cowboy State is #48 of 50 in the Waiting Until October to start shopping for Halloween (56.1%). Meaning there are only 2 states where fewer people start Halloween shopping in the month of October. Alaska (55.4%) and West Virginia (54.4%) are the other states.
Wyoming is at #6 in each of the other two categories.
33.3% of Wyomingites do their Halloween preparing between July and September.
10.6% of Wyomingites shop for Halloween during the other months.
Those are pretty impressive numbers. Is it because it takes a little longer to get our online orders here? I'd say it's more because Wyomingites love Halloween. If you've driven around the state at all, you've seen the time and dedication put in to make sure houses are decorated and costumes are perfect.
Casper Loves To Decorate For Holiday's.
During Christmas time, you can drive around Casper and see some very impressive homes that have quite the decoration display. The same is true around Halloween, there's no doubt that Casper goes all out to celebrate and decorate.
We did a Facebook ask on September 26th, asking how many people had their decorations up and you can see some that folks have been working hard to get theirs up and others were planning to usher in October with decorating.
