Check Out Laramie’s Freedom Has a Birthday Activities Lineup!
The biggest party in the park is next week, full of music, activities, food, and celebrations. Freedom Has a Birthday, presented by Rocky Mountain Power, will be at Washington Park on Tuesday, July 4, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The family-centered event is free to the public, alcohol-free, and plenty of fun for the kids.
Spider Bungee Tramp
Airbound from Colorado is bringing their 4-way spider bungee trampoline. Up to four jumpers at a time can do flips and turn on this unique trampoline.
Kraken Dual Slide
The popular 28-foot dual slide will be at the party, allowing two riders at a time.
Free Ice Cream Cones
Starting at 10 a.m. Meadow Gold and the Masonic Temple are handing out the cold treats on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Fire Department Hose Down
The Laramie Fire Department will be hosing down willing participants throughout the party to beat the heat. At 11 a.m., 1, and 3 p.m., enjoy a refreshing airborne cold water spray.
Extras for Adults
There will also be three stages full of music and presentations. The Flag Ceremony and Anthem will be performed at 10 a.m. in the Bandshell. The Laramie Municipal Band will play immediately after.
Danno From Wyo, Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing, and Shawn Hess will perform on the other two stages.
There will be over 90 vendor booths this year, from fitness to faith, government and healthcare, several food options and first-aid centers, and other booths with free activities for children. For a complete list of vendors and other information, see the City of Laramie’s press release here.
