Cheyenne East’s Gracie Craig Will Run at Black Hills State
Cheyenne East senior Gracie Craig has signed to run cross country and track at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD.
Craig competed for the first time in over a month at last weekend’s Nike Cross Regionals Northwest meet in Boise, ID. She finished in 90th place in the Open Division. Her time was 20:17.0.
Craig did not run at the 2023 Wyoming High School Cross Country State Championships on Oct. 21, 2023, in Cheyenne.
Before that, the senior’s last competition was at the 308 Distance Festival in Scottsbluff, NE, on Sept. 29, 2023. Craig was runner-up at that meet in a time of 21:07.01. She also recorded a ninth-place finish at the Andy Meyers Invitational in Greeley, CO. Craig had a personal-best time of 20:07.5 at that race.
She came in 39th place as a junior at the Wyoming state cross-country meet in 2022.
Black Hills State University competes at the NCAA Division II level. They are a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
