PhotoFest: Cheyenne East Posts Big Win in 4A Football Opener
Cheyenne East will definitely be a state championship contender in 4A football this year and started the season with a bang as they blasted Campbell County on the road on Friday 49-12. Running back Drew Jackson and quarterback Cam Hayes will be a formidable 1-2 punch for the T-Birds this season with Jackson scoring a pair of touchdowns in this game with Hayes contributing two touchdown passes and a rushing TD. David Hondel caught two TD passes for East.
Campbell County was hampered by turnovers in the game with three fumbles and an interception which was returned for a touchdown. Trent Rosenau did ring up 160 yards rushing for the Camels.
