Winter storm warnings and advisories have been issued for higher elevations of southeast Wyoming, with up to 16 inches possible in some areas.

That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website:

Winter Storm Warning until 11 PM tonight for the Snowy and Sierra Madre Ranges with total snow accumulation of 10 to 16 inches. Winter Weather Advisory until 5 PM this afternoon for Arlington, Niobrara County and the northern Laramie Range. Total snowfall amounts of 1 to 5 inches for lower elevations, with 4 to 8 inches for the northern Laramie Range.
