Bond Set at $500K Cash for Cheyenne Fugitive Captured After Chase
Bond was set at $500,000 cash Wednesday for the 44-year-old Cheyenne fugitive who was captured last Thursday night following a chase through north central Cheyenne.

Timeline of Events
Shot Fired in South Cheyenne
According to arrest records, on April 14 at about 7:19 p.m., deputies with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office were called to the 2700 block of South Avenue B-6 for a report of a male breaking into a home and shooting a firearm in the direction of a female and a 17-year-old boy.
The following day, a deputy began investigating the incident and learned that Michael Isreal Robin Sr. had kicked in the front door and the door to the bedroom where the victims were, fired a pistol in their direction after a brief argument, and left the scene.
The deputy says several witnesses in the area saw Robin go into the victims' trailer right before hearing the gunshot and seeing him leave.
The deputy says Robin tossed the pistol in a drainage ditch just north of the scene while fleeing from law enforcement, and the bullets in the magazine matched the bullet casing and bullet cartridge detectives found in the bedroom.
Fugitive Task Force Captures Robin
On April 25, task force officers located Robin and attempted to perform a traffic stop on him in the area of Logan Avenue and East Lincolnway, near Holliday Park, but he reportedly sped off, eventually rear-ending a car that was traveling in the same direction.
Robin then reportedly got out of the car he was driving while it was still moving and ran into a small field where he was apprehended.
The deputy says the car Robin was driving, a black Nissan Altima valued at $7,000, had expired registration and didn't have insurance, and the owner told him that she never gave Robin permission to use her car because she was out of town.
A baggie containing 19.4 grams of suspected cocaine, a baggie containing 0.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and a baggie containing 0.185 ounces of suspected marijuana were also reportedly found in the immediate vicinity where Robin was apprehended.
Robin was placed in handcuffs and taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for minor lacerations on his face due to the crash and airbag deployment and then booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on two felony warrants.
The first was out of Laramie County District Court for probation violation with an original charge of felony possession of fentanyl and was signed by Judge Robin Cooley on April 11, 2024.
The second was out of Larimer County, Colorado for failure to appear for sentencing on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Robin Hit With Charges
On Tuesday, April 30, Robin was formally charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault, felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, felony theft, misdemeanor property destruction, and felony habitual criminal, an enhancement that carries a life sentence.

Robin was seen on the charges the following morning in Laramie County Circuit Court, during which Magistrate Caitlin Harper set his bond at $500,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 10 at 9 a.m.
