The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says severe storms are possible again this afternoon [May 31] in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle.

The main hazards include winds of up to 60 miles per hour and hail up to the size of a quarter.

Heavy rainfall and frequent lightening are also possible.

The agency posted the following on it's website:

30 AM 5/31 - Another round of severe weather expected again today, primarily in far southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle. Strong wind gusts and large hail are possible in thunderstorms! Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather information and warnings!

31/530AM: Greetings! Good news and bad news for folks in southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle, more rain is on the way! Rain chances really begin to ramp up, with widespread showers and thunderstorms returning today and continuing through the rest of the week. Areas that receive multiple rounds (or training) thunderstorms, there is a risk of experiencing flash flooding. A Marginal Risk for excessive rainfall has been highlighted for the southern Panhandle , west to Cheyenne and north to Scottsbluff Wednesday. This area will expand to cover most of southeast Wyoming Thursday, with widespread showers and thunderstorms. Never drive through flooded roadways. Turn around, don't drown. Stay tuned!
