90 MPH Winds Possible In SE Wyoming, Blowing Snow In Some Areas
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says wind gusts of over 75 miles per hour are likely in southeast Wyoming this weekend.
Wind speeds could approach 80 miles per hour in Cheyenne and top out at 90 miles per hour on the I-80 summit and other wind-prone areas.
74 mile-per-hour winds are considered hurricane-force winds according to the National Weather Service.
Snow is also expected in the region over the weekend, although the latest projections are calling for relatively small amounts of the white stuff in Cheyenne and Laramie. But folks who are traveling to the north and east could encounter snow, blowing snow, and blizzard like conditions.
