‘Stuff the Bus’ for Laramie County Students This Weekend
The new school year is just around the corner and the United Way of Laramie County Education Collaborative is working to make sure students have the tools they need to succeed.
The group will be holding its third annual "Stuff the Bus" school supply drive this weekend.
Representatives from Boys and Girls Club of Cheyenne, Cheyenne Youth Alternatives, ASK (After School for Kids), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wyoming, Needs Inc., Laramie County School District 1, and United Way of Laramie County will be at Target and the Walmart at 2032 Dell Range Blvd. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday collecting school supplies for Laramie County students.
School Supply List
The school supplies listed below are taken directly from LCSD1's supply list:
- Box of #2 Pencils (24 count)
- 2 Boxes of Tissue
- Glue Sticks
- 1 Box of Broad Line Washable Markers (10 count)
- Box of Crayons (24 count)
- Large Erasers
- 3x3 Post-It Notes
- Backpacks
Backpacks Are Needed Most
The collaborative says it is most in need of backpacks, which will be filled with school supplies and handed out during its third annual "Back to School Bash" on Aug. 17, 2024.
The event, which is free and open to all Laramie County students, will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Cheyenne at 515 W. Jefferson Rd.
Haircuts, school physicals, dental supplies, and food and drinks will also be provided.
