UPDATE:

A Cheyenne teen was killed and four other Cheyenne teens injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Johnson Junior High School Thursday afternoon, police say.

Public Information Officer Alex Farkas says it happened around 1:25 p.m. in an alleyway behind the school.

"Preliminary details show that the vehicle, a 2001 Chevy truck, was traveling east down the alley at a high rate of speed while swerving back and forth," Farkas said in a news release.

"The driver hit an uneven area of the road, lost control, and rolled the vehicle," she added.

Farkas says one of the passengers, a 15-year-old boy, was found dead at the scene, and the driver and other three passengers were taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
