Cause of Duplex Fire in Cheyenne Still Unknown
Investigators are still trying to determine what sparked a Friday night fire in south Cheyenne.
Cheyenne Fire Rescue Division Chief Andrew Dykshorn says crews were called to a fire in a two-story duplex in the 300 block of Arkel Way at 8:25 p.m.

"Once on the scene, fire crews reported moderate dark smoke coming from the structure and encountered fire in the main floor’s living room area," Dkyshorn said in a press release.
Dykshorn says firefighters were able to act quickly and protect the adjacent structure and had the blaze under control by 8:50 p.m.
"The scene was cleared by 1:25 a.m., with an estimate of damages and the cause of the fire still unknown," he said.
Dykshorn says the single-family home was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
