Cheyenne Woman Facing Burglary, Theft, & Drug Possession Charges
A 28-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a slew of charges after she was reportedly caught trespassing at Walmart.
According to a booking sheet, police were dispatched to the Walmart at 580 Livingston Ave. at 2:09 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, regarding a female trespasser.
Officers contacted Britnee Rayann Gilmore, who was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on charges of burglary, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both, and misdemeanor theft.
'A Lot Going On'
On Monday, July 21, Gilmore was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on three dockets.
The first for burglary and misdemeanor theft, alleging that on or about Wednesday, June 4, she, without authority, entered or remained in Walmart with intent to commit theft of a scooter and stole a cell phone and gift card valued at $82.15.
The second for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, alleging that on or about Wednesday, July 16, she possessed fentanyl.
And the third for possession of a controlled substance - third or subsequent offense, alleging that on or about Wednesday, July 16, she possessed fentanyl and has prior convictions, making it a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, up to a $5,000 fine, or both.
"I believe there is a pending felony burglary for the Walmart," the state told the court. "There's a lot going on and I think that $3,000 cash (bond) is very reasonable."
Total Bond Set at $6K
Forwood set Gilmore's total bond at $6,000 cash and her preliminary hearing and arraignment were scheduled for Monday, July 28, at 9 a.m.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
