Laramie County voters went to the polls on Tuesday along with the rest of the state as Wyoming held it's 2024 Primary Election.

Seats On Cheyenne City Council, Mayor On The Ballot

In Cheyenne several candidates are vying for the nomination for Mayor of Cheyenne, including incumbent Patrict Collins who is running for a second term. The candidate who lost to Collins in the November 2020 General Election, Rick Coppinger is also on the ballot for mayor, as are several other candidates.

6 seats are up for election on the City Council ballot. Five incumbents are running for re-election, with the lone exception being Ward II councilman Bryan Cook, who is not running for another term.

Since city council and mayoral elections are non-partisan under state law, the top two finishers for each seat will advance to the November General Election, That means four candidates will advance in Wards I and II, and two mayoral candidates will advance. But in Ward III only three candidates have filed for two seats, so all three will advance regardless of the primary election results.

Several candidates are also running for two seats on the Laramie County Commission, with no incumbents in that race.

Several legislative seats based entirely or in part in Laramie County as also on the ballot. That includes Senate District 6, which also includes part of Platte County. In that race no less than six Republicans are vying to replace conservative firebrand Anthony Bouchard, who is not running for re-election

Here are the latest available results from the Laramie County Clerk's election division. You can view state election results from the Wyoming Secretary of State's Office here.

It's worth noting that all election results from Tuesday's Primary are unoffical until they are cerified by a canvassing board.
