Laramie County residents can now get alerted about emergencies and other important community news by signing up for RAVE, the Cheyenne/Laramie County Emergency Management Agency's new Emergency Alert Program.

"This system enables us to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods," the department's website reads.

"You will receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your home, mobile or business phones, email address, text messages and more," the website goes on to say.

  1. Visit laramiecountywy.gov
  2. Click on the RAVE MOBILE SAFETY logo on the right-hand side of the page (sign-up link)
  3. Provide your contact details and preferences
  4. Start receiving emergency notifications
