Cheyenne, Laramie Tie High Temperature Records Thursday
An unseasonably warm day on Thursday saw temperature records for the date tied or broken across southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.
Both Cheyenne and Laramie tied their all-time high temperature records for the date. The agency posted the following on its website:
Several daily high temperature records were broken today across southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska. Cheyenne and Laramie both tied their record high, while Rawlins beat theirs. Locations in western Nebraska shattered their records by anywhere between 2 and 7 degrees! It was definitely a warm one out there!
Warm Weekend Ahead
It will be another warm weekend across southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska. Temperatures will rise back into the 80s and 90s for the area with mostly sunny skies on Saturday. Scattered clouds move in for Sunday with lightly breezy conditions expected. There is little to no precipitation chances this weekend.
