Cheyenne Man Arrested After Allegedly Robbing Store at Knifepoint
A 30-year-old Cheyenne man is behind bars after reportedly robbing a store at knifepoint.
Police Dispatched to Larceny With Knife
According to police spokeswoman Alex Farkas, it all started around 8:30 a.m. this morning, Sept. 3, after officers were dispatched to a larceny with a knife at Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply at 3773 E. Lincolnway.

"According to statements, a store employee noticed a man attempting to steal merchandise and stood near the exit door to prevent him from leaving," said Farkas.
"When confronted, a physical altercation between the employee and shoplifter began," Farkas added. "During the altercation, the shoplifter pulled a knife out of his pocket, pointed it toward the employee, and ran out of the store. He then drove away in
a silver Nissan."
Farkas says employees were able to document the suspect’s vehicle and provided officers with a photo of the license plate, and the vehicle was traced to Trevor Cabrera.
High-Risk Traffic Stop
Farkas says at about 11 a.m., an officer spotted the vehicle parked at the Maverik at 3315 N. College Dr. and initiated a high-risk traffic stop.
Farkas says Cabrera was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Cheyenne Public Safety Center for questioning, then booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for aggravated robbery, a felony punishable by imprisonment for not less than five years nor more than 25 years.
As of late Wednesday afternoon, Cabrera had yet to be formally charged.
This isn't Cabrera's first brush with police. He was arrested last November after reportedly pointing a shotgun at a person and threatening to kill them.
