UPDATE: Cheyenne Man Dead Following 2-Vehicle Crash on Nationway
UPDATE:
A man is dead following a Wednesday afternoon collision on Nationway, the Cheyenne Police Department says.
Public Information Officer Alex Farkas says it happened around 1:10 p.m. at the intersection of Nationway and Old Trail Road.
"Preliminary details show the driver of a Subaru Outback was attempting to cross Nationway traveling north and collided with an eastbound Ford F-250 pulling a trailer with a small track loader," Farkas said in a news release.
Farkas says the driver of the Subaru, a 78-year-old Cheyenne man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
"The Laramie County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and notify the next of kin," she said.
Farkas says the pickup driver, an 18-year-old Hillsdale man, was not injured in the crash and remained on the scene.
She says driver impairment is not being considered as a factor in the crash.
