Laramie Woman and Greeley Man Charged With Felony Meth Possession

A Laramie woman and Greeley, Colorado man have been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine after a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy reportedly found drugs in their car.

According to booking sheets, 58-year-old Deborah Dalean Bothwell and 45-year-old Matthew James Robinson were contacted at the Southeast Wyoming Welcome Center at about 1:17 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, for displaying a plate that was expired and didn't belong on the car being operated by Bothwell.

Expired Plate Leads to 46 Grams of Meth, Felony Charges

The deputy says Bothwell said the car was hers.

He says the odor of suspected marijuana was also emanating from the window.

A probable cause search reportedly revealed suspected marijuana, 46 grams of methamphetamine, and blue prescription pills believed to be amphetamines.

The two were subsequently arrested and both charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.

Robinson was also charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Bothwell with misdemeanor display of plates.

The two made their initial appearances in Laramie County Circuit Court on Thursday afternoon, June 20, during which their bonds were set at $3,000 cash and their preliminary hearings were scheduled for June 27 at 2:30 p.m.
