Cheyenne Woman Charged With Burglary, Credit Card Fraud
A 22-year-old Cheyenne woman has been charged in connection with a burglary and credit card fraud case.
According to a booking sheet, a police officer was patrolling near East Pershing Boulevard and Concord Drive at about 1:08 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, when he spotted Doriann Kay Calvert, who he believed to have a warrant out of Laramie County, walking in the area.
The officer says he contacted Calvert and she gave him her identifying information, and dispatch confirmed that Calvert did indeed have a warrant out of Laramie County.
He says the warrant was for burglary, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both, and fraud - credit card, another's less than $1,000, a misdemeanor.
Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams signed the warrant on Sept. 3, 2024.
Calvert was arrested and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where she was booked without incident.
Bond Set at $2K Cash
Calvert was seen in Circuit Court on Monday, Sept. 16, during which her bond was set at $2,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday, Sept. 23 at 9:30 a.m.
