Cheyenne Man Hit With Felony Charge After Allegedly Attacking Nurse
A 69-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly assaulting a nurse at the nursing home where he lives.
According to a booking sheet, police were called to Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness at 3128 Boxeleder Dr. at 4:49 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2 for an assault.

Assault Call Leads to Felony Charge
Police say the victim told them that Thomas Patrick Lupton attacked her during her shift as a nurse at the facility.
The nurse said Lupton grabbed her by the arm and stepped on her foot while she defended another resident from Lupton, who was attempting to cause a disturbance.
Lupton then reportedly grabbed her by the neck with both hands for approximately 20 to 30 seconds, causing redness, and when she called for help, he yelled, "I'm gonna f---ing kill you."
Police say a witness heard the nurse's call for help, ran to the area, saw Lupton strangling her for approximately five to ten seconds, and was able to remove him from her and separate them.
Lupton was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center, and subsequently charged with aggravated assault and battery - serious bodily injury, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Bond Set at $5K Cash
Lupton made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday, Feb. 3, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 3 p.m.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
