Agent Says Cheyenne Probationer Texted Her False Doctor’s Note
A 28-year-old Cheyenne probationer is facing a felony charge after reportedly making and providing Probation and Parole with a false doctor's note to avoid her regular check-in.
Probation and Parole Hold
According to booking sheets, police were dispatched to Probation and Parole at 12:03 p.m. on Monday, March 3, and contacted an agent who told them that she needed her client, Storm Destiny Gilman, placed under a hold and taken to jail.
Gilman was handcuffed and taken without incident to the Laramie County Detention Center, where she was booked.

Then, at about 4:30 p.m., the agent contacted police about a falsified document provided to Probation and Parole by Gilman.
Police say the agent told them that Gilman had been on low supervised probation since Jan. 30, 2024, for possession of methamphetamine and was required to check in once a month.
Missed Appointment, Positive Drug Test
The agent said Gilman was supposed to check in on Feb. 3, 2025, but missed her appointment, and when she came in the following day, she tested positive for methamphetamine, incidents that had happened several times before.
The agent said when she contacted Gilman on Feb. 25, 2025, requesting she come in, Gilman sent her a text message saying she couldn't due to her and her daughter having RSV.
False Doctor's Note
The agent said she requested a doctor's note, and Gilman texted her a photo of a doctor's note from Cheyenne Regional Medical Center that didn't appear to be legitimate.
The agent said the note had a "return to work" date of Feb. 29, 2025, a nonexistent date, and the hospital verified it was a falsified document.
Gilman Charged With Felony Forgery
Gilman was subsequently charged with forgery - utter, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, up to a $5,000 fine, or both.
On Tuesday, March 6, Gilman was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court on the charge.
Gilman Posts $3K Cash Bond
Gilman's bond was set at $3,000 cash, which she posted on Wednesday, March 12, and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Thursday, March 13, at 2:30 p.m.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
