Report of Wanted Person at Cheyenne Motel Leads to 2 Arrests

Two men are behind bars following a warrant service at a Cheyenne motel.

According to arrest records, police were called to the Rodeo Inn at 3839 E. Lincolnway at 9:33 a.m. on Friday, May 3, for the report of a wanted person.

Police made contact with 38-year-old Cheyenne resident Jeremy Michael Clark, who they say had two felony warrants out of Laramie County District Court for probation violation, one with an original charge of receiving stolen property and the other with an original charge of possession of a controlled substance - third or subsequent offense.

Judge Catherine Rogers signed the warrants on Jan. 12, 2024.

Police also contacted 39-year-old Cheyenne transient Cristian Lee Stolz, who reportedly told them that he had methamphetamine in his backpack.

Search Leads to 14 Grams of Meth, Felony Charge

Police say Stolz consented to a search of his backpack which revealed approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine.

Clark and Stolz were subsequently arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center, Clark on his warrants and Stolz for felony possession of methamphetamine, a crime punishable by up to seven years in prison, up to a $15,000 fine, or both.

Stolz made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday morning, during which his bond was set at $2,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 15 at 3:30 p.m.

As of Monday afternoon, Clark's probation revocation hearing had yet to be officially scheduled, but it more than likely will be held on May 23.
