Cheyenne Transient Arrested After Police Find Purse Full of Drugs

A 56-year-old Cheyenne transient is facing drug possession charges following a Tuesday night traffic stop in southeast Cheyenne.

According to a booking sheet, Natalie Angelina Taylor was riding in the front passenger seat when police stopped the vehicle at Campstool Road and Christensen Road around 9:15 p.m.

Cheyenne Police K-9 Sniffs Out Felony Amount of Meth During Traffic Stop

Officer Kilian Sweet deployed his K-9 partner, Dutch, and the dog reportedly indicated on the front passenger door seam of the vehicle.

Police say when they searched the vehicle, they found multiple blue M30 pills, a felony amount of methamphetamine, and a debit card with Taylor's name on it in a purse on the center console.

Cheyenne Transient Facing Drug Possession Charges

Taylor was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in pill form.

As of late Wednesday afternoon, Taylor had yet to be formally charged.

APRIL 4 UPDATE:

Taylor made her initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Thursday afternoon on the same charges she was booked on.

Her bond was set at $2,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 11 at 10 a.m.
