A 46-year-old Cheyenne transient currently being housed in the Laramie County Detention Center is facing another felony charge after reportedly sending a jailer to the hospital.

According to a booking sheet, on Tuesday, March 18, at 7:13 p.m., inmate Ricky Joe Perry knowingly and intentionally caused bodily injury to a corporal by kicking him in his right knee.

The corporal had to be taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Perry Hit With Felony Charge

Perry was subsequently charged with interference with a peace officer - bodily injury, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

Bond Set at $10K Cash

On Thursday, March 20, Perry was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court on the charge.

His bond was set at $50,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, March 28, at 9:45 a.m.
