A wanted Cheyenne man is behind bars thanks to a Cheyenne police officer's watchful eye.

According to a booking sheet, the officer was sitting in the 3400 block of Ridge Road at about 10:48 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, when he observed 28-year-old Sy B. Dominguez, who he knew to have a felony warrant, pull into his house at 3442 Ridge Rd.

The officer contacted Dominguez in the driver's seat and placed him under arrest.

The warrant was for aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon and was signed by Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee on Jan. 2, 2024.

Dominguez made his initial appearance in Circuit Court on Wednesday morning, Jan. 17, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for next Friday, Jan. 26, at 9 a.m.
