Fort Collins Man Arrested in Cheyenne After Female Kidnapped, Injured
A 38-year-old Fort Collins man is facing a slew of charges after Cheyenne police say he kidnapped a female and physically harmed her.
According to a booking sheet, police were called to a domestic incident around 4:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, and contacted Sani Supatra.
Supatra was found to have kidnapped the victim by preventing her from leaving a hotel room on three separate occasions and causing physical harm to her by striking her with multiple objects.
Police say Supatra took her phone which prevented her from contacting police.
Supatra was also reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Supatra was arrested and subsequently charged with felony kidnapping and five misdemeanors -- domestic battery, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, interference with an emergency call, and false imprisonment.
He appeared in Laramie County Circuit Court Monday morning, but, because he was having trouble understanding the charges due to English being his second language, his hearing was rescheduled for tomorrow at 9:45 a.m. so a court interpreter can be present.
