Laramie County Sheriff’s Office Announces Kratom Discussion
The Laramie County Sheriff's Office has announced a discussion meeting on kratom for October 13 at LCCC.
What is kratom? According to the Federal Drug Enforcement Adminstration: "Kratom is a tropical tree native to Southeast Asia. Consumption of its leaves produces both stimulant effects (in low doses) and sedative effects (in high doses), and can lead to psychotic symptoms, and psychological and physiological dependence."
kratom is legal in Wyoming, but it is regulated under legislation passed by the legislature and signed into law by Governor Mark Gordon earlier this year.
