The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is touting what it calls "record low numbers" of reported crimes in unincorporated areas of the county.

That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page. According to the post, residential burglaries are down by 71 percent compared to this time in 2023, vehicle burglaries are down by 66 percent, and vehicle thefts are down by 62 percent.

The Numbers Do Not Include Cheyenne

Those numbers are only for unincorporated areas of Laramie County. They do not include crimes in the city of Cheyenne. The post also says ''We hope our highly visible patrols and focus on apprehending fugitives is paying off.''
