With April here, a lot of folks are starting to at ;least think about summer activites.
OK, we know that we probably have more snow on the way. In Wyoming major winter storms can happen well into May. Snow in June is not all that unusual.
But the good news is that we should start seeing some nicer weather along the way as well. Spring time in Wyoming is mostly a state of mind. We tend to go directly from winter to summer. Sometimes in the same week or weekend. Maybe even in the same day.
Besides, there is nothing wrong with planning an dreaming about summer weather. Wyoming summers are short, and we want to make the most of them.
So what do you most like about Wyoming summers?
A lot of folks live in Wyoming for the great outdoors. Fishing, hiking, camping. Is that what you love about summer in Wyoming?
Cheyenne is home to the world's largest outdoor rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days. And it's not all bucking horses and cowboys either. A schedule of big name entertainers for Frontier Nights is a highlight for a lot of folks too. Not to mention parades, the Air Force Thunderbirds and pancake breakfasts. CFD is a very big deal to a lot of people.
Let's not forget about our nation's birthday either. Nothing says summer like fireworks and backyard barbecues. Celebrating freedom and summer go together like a hand in a glove.
