
Parts of Interstate 80 And Interstate 25 Closed On Wednesday Morning
The Wyoming Department of Transportation says Interstate 80 eastbound was closed at last report between Rawlins and Laramie due to a crash.
According to the WYDOT Road and Travel website, the estimated opening time as of 9:30 a.m. was between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m..
Parts Of I-25 and I-80 Are Closed to Light, High Profile Vehicles
The website says additional closures to light, high profile vehicles has also been imposed on stretches of interstates 80 and 25. Those closures were prompted by strong winds posing an\ extreme blow over risk.
That includes Interstate 80, which is closed to light, high profile vehicles in the westbound lane of Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Rawlins. The closure applies to vehicles weighing under 40,000 pounds in gross volume weight between Laramie and Rawlins. The restriction applies to vehicles under 40,000 pounds between Cheyenne and Laramie.
Interstate 25, meanwhile was closed between the Colorado State Line and Wheatland to vehicles hauling trailers weighing less than 20,000 gross volume weight due to strong winds and an extreme blow over risk.
