Strong Winds, Large Hail, Isolated Tornadoes Possible Sunday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says severe weather is possible in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle on Sunday.
The agency issued an email early Sunday mornng that warned of the following:
- Areas of fog and low stratus this morning should clear out and allow for diurnal heating to occur by this afternoon.
- Thunderstorms are expected to develop in the late afternoon to early evening time frame, continuing through midnight before departing the region.
- All severe hazards including damaging hail, strong winds, and an isolated tornado or two will be possible, with the highest risk across the Nebraska Panhandle.
